Noel is now a certified Passivhaus designer!

Today I received my exam result from the Passivhaus Institute in Darmstadt, Germany.  I have passed their exam and am now entitled to display the Certified Passivhaus Designer logo.

This was a tough three hour exam that I undertook in London following 2 weeks of training sessions.  Very pleased to receive my pass!

I hope this can be the start of a new chapter in the practice, bringing us up to date with the best, most reliable and effective methods and standards in building design to achieve exceptionally low energy  use with high standards of environmental comfort.

We have already obtained planning permission for a new house which is specifically intended to meet Passivhaus standards and hope to receive instructions to progress the detail design of this in the near future.
